"Learn By Doing" Was Motto Of Girls' Staters, Boys' Staters

Flagstaff played host to approximately 300 Arizona
boys, each .representing his high school at Arizona Boys' State. These
boys, ten of whom were outstanding Phoenix Un-ion students, studied
and performed the functions of government at every level - local,
county, and state.

Learning more about your country of freedom is a
breathtaking experience, as each girl who attended Arizona Girls'
State will tell you. Six girls, chosen on the basis of personality,
intelligence, patriotism, and
leadership, represented Phoenix Union at Girls' State in Tucson last
spring. |
